Rationale for Teaching
Community as an enduring idea for teaching and learning allows an interdisciplinary approach for the exploration unity amongst individuals. Community is present not only amongst humans, but can also be discovered in nature. The concept of community can be studied in the context of art, history, geography, science, and beyond. While investigating the idea of community, learners have the opportunity to study the characteristics and factors necessary for sustaining a community, as well as the barriers and challenges.
